A day in my life

My life changed on September 8, 1979 at 11:00 and 11:01 AM when my darling twin boys were born. They were born two months too soon; very tiny, fragile and very sick. They were my precious babies and I loved them at first sight with their respirators, wires wrapped across their tiny bodies, fighting for every breath they took. My life changed on that day.

That was 35 years ago today. I remember that day like it was yesterday.

Michael is now married and a father of two beautiful children. Jason passed away seven years ago living his entire life with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy.

Happy birthday dear sons.

Note: Jason’s story of his life with cerebral palsy will soon be released in a book to be published by Tate Publishing by the end of this year or early 2015. Please look for updates on the release date on this blog.
