Is it Thursday already? Time goes by so fast it seems like yesterday was just Wednesday LOL!!!
Today’s “Thankful Thursday” is very special. I am known to be a mini hoarder. No I do not have a room full of boxes piled to the ceiling. I am talking about a large box I kept in my closet through the years and whenever I had something special I did not want to lose, I would place it in this box. So I started digging a few months ago and found these two items. I was angry at myself for leaving them in the box for so many years. They are now sitting in two special places in my house so I can always see them and remember my dear son who gave them to me.
I also found some great stuff my other son Michael either made, wrote or pics of special times in his life. I know you would not want me to share these on my blog. I doubt you are even reading this! If for some chance you are reading this Michael, say Hi to everyone! 🙂 However, don’t fret, I am waiting for the right time when you do or say something that will irritate me and I will use that opportunity to get back at you 🙂
Below are the two gifts that were made with assistance of course. They both are so special that I just may request them to be buried with me. Don’t worry I am not going anywhere for a long, long time.
I am so thankful I created my mini hoarding box, thankful I received these wonderful gifts from Jason and Michael and thankful I can share them with all of you.
The wrapped gift is a block of wood covered in blue cloth and tied with a simple ribbon and bow. The words are what is special about this gift and they always makes my eyes water. What a great idea to give me from a child who was very special in deed. It reads:
This is a very special gift
that you can never see
the reason it’s so special is
it’s just for you from me
whenever you are lonely
or even feeling blue
you only have to hold this gift
and know I think of you
you never should unwrap it
please leave the ribbons tied
Hold the box close to your heart
It’s filed with love inside!
Okay….where are my tissues. Have a great Thursday.
Best wishes to you
