I am a mother who had a special needs child. This is a beautiful post and I thank you Shaun for sharing it with us. There are no words to express my feelings about this other than it is a must see video. I believe the world needs to be educated. This video and my book about my son is the beginning of helping the world to know these children are certainly special. Open yourself to the beauty and allow yourself to feel!
This month is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month and March 25th is CP day. My son had spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and he lived for 28 years, passing away on December 22, 2006. I would like to dedicate this post along with Shaun’s post to all special needs children. Next time you see a special needs child, please do not stare or shy away. All you need to do is smile and say hello. They do not want to be treated different, they are people just like us who just happen to be challenged.
My loving son Jason. I anticipate his book to be out in the stores in 2015. The title is “Our Special Child – Jason’s Story”. I will be promoting in the near future.
The month of March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month and March 25th is set aside as Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day.
