Rest in peace JFK….where were you that day?

I understand there may be some friends here who were not born when our president was assassinated 50 years ago today. However, those who experienced the tragedy and events of that day; where were you and what were you doing?

I was 13 years old and was in junior high school where I first learned President Kennedy was shot. I walked home with a friend back to her house where we found her mother crying as we all heard the announcement on the TV that President John F. Kennedy has died.

This was the very first experience at an early age of 13 and I certainly was traumatized that day and several days later as my family watched the TV.  Little did I know there will be many more tragic times in history I will experience.
